Dozens of pasta products were just recalled – check out the list

food recall

A massive recall of nearly 70 different pasta products sold under a variety of brand names has just been announced by the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service. The recall affects products produced by Avanza Pasta, LLC., of Illinois, and includes pasta products sold with various meats and poultry included. The recall isn't linked to the pasta itself but rather the meat that is sold along with it. The meat hasn't been inspected by the USDA and, because of that, it's not eligible to be sold in the United States, hence the recall.

In total, 68 different pasta products are included in the wide-ranging recall. The food was sold under the following brand names: Ambrosino's, Calabria Imports, Conte Di Savoia, Frankie's Deli, Frank's Deli, Gene's, Marketplace on Oakton, Minelli Meat & Deli, Nature's Best, Piatto Pronto, Prisco's Family Market, S&T Provisions, Tony's Italian Deli & Subs, Vesuvio Bakery and Deli, Avanza Pasta, Fratello's, Caputo, Countryside Fresh Markets, and Zeppe's Italian Market. Yeah, it's a big recall.
